Christian Maldini is an Italian footballer who plays for Hamrun Spartans F.C. in the Maltese Premier League, on loan from Reggiana. He is the son of A.C. Milan and Italy legend Paolo Maldini.

Early career

Maldini started his career at A.C. Milan Primavera but never broke through the first team. In 2014, he spent half-season on loan at Brescia,[1] but he didn't make appearance either. In honor of his late grandfather, Cesare, Maldini was named as Primavera captain for a friendly match against Novara in April 2016.[2]

In July 2016, Maldini left Milan for Reggiana,[3] and subsequently loaned out to Hamrun Spartans.[4]

Hamrun Spartans

On 18 September 2016, Maldini made his professional debut with Hamrun Spartans in the Maltese Premier League, playing as a starter in a 3-1 victory against St. Andrews.[5][6]

On 15 October 2016, Maldini committed defensive mistakes that led to all goals, including an own goal, in a 0-3 defeat against Sliema Wanderers.[7]
