Christian Ray (real name - Ruslan Humberto Flores, born March 15, 1969, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian pop singer. Ovation Award Winner.[1]

Biography

Ruslan Ray Flores was born in Moscow on March 15, 1969. Mother - Larisa Grigorievna de Flores and father - Chilean Humberto Americo Flores just after the birth of her son moved to Chile, where they lived for 4 years. Two years later, already in Chile, he was born only sister Christian, Monica Flores, now living in the United States.

The military coup in 1973 the dictator Augusto Pinochet found a Flores family in Chile. Suicide Chilean President Salvador Allende (according to the Pinochet government), mass arrests across the country, murder and torture in concentration camps have become commonplace. Father Christian Americo was arrested and spent 6 months in Pinochet's prisons. Mother Larisa with two children went into hiding under an assumed name and fake Argentinian passport. After the liberation of his father's family moved to Munich, a year back to Moscow and a year later, in the African Republic of Mozambique at the invitation of the government, in need of specialists. For 8 years, Christian is fluent in Russian, English, Spanish and Portuguese.[2] In late 1983, after a hard divorce of their parents, Christian returns to Moscow with her mother and sister. After a ten-year Christian goes to the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, which graduated in 1991 with a Master's degree in Economics. After working a few years in the field of international trade, Christian returns to the music in 1993.

In 1995, with the direct participation of the Christian producers Andrey Shlykov and Andrei Grozny create girlish pop group Blestyashchiye.[3]

In 1995, Christian seriously interested in Christianity. There are a lot of rumors, but the release of new songs and concert activity continues to gain momentum. In the US, Christian founded the company Hollywood World Studios,[5] specializing in the creation of music, commercials and clips. With the company working renowned producers and directors, winners of Grammy Awards, holders of gold and platinum records, the Russian stars, such as Larisa Dolina and Yulia Nachalova. Christian gets two Telly Award for directing an educational film Positive Choice.[6] Christian also establishes an international label Handmade Music / Blisstunes Recording Corp. to release albums of American and international artists around the world through an extensive distribution network in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.

Christian continues to live and work in Austin, Texas with his wife and three daughters.[7]
