Christine Churcher

Christine Churcher (* 21. September 1954, Cape Coast, Ghana)[1] is a leading politician in Ghana. She served between 2001 and 2005 at the Ministry of Education ( Minister of Primary, Secondary and Girl Child Education ) between 2005 and 2006 she worked at the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection ( Minister of Science and the Environment ). Churcher applied because of their ethnicity and political activities in their hometown as matriarch of Cape Coast.The politician Churcher is certainly controversial after allegations of corruption and the dismissal from the .Ministry in of 2006..

Education

Churcher attended the Kwesi Plange Primary School in Cape Coast from1959 to1965. Between 1965 and 1972 she attended the Mfanstiman Girls Secondary School. Between 1975 and 1978 Churcher studied English and history at the University of Ghana and graduated successfully. 1991 worked Churcher at the first part of her thesis for the Master in Philosophy in the program of adult education at the University of Ghana.

Career

Churcher began work as a teacher at her alma mater, the Mfantsiman Girls Secondary School in teaching English after graduating from school in 1972 to. After studying from the period of 1978 to 1982 she worked at the Prestea Goldfields Limited in administration and moved in 1982 as an English tutor at the Wesley Girls' Senior High School in Cape Coast. Politically, she began politics in 1989 and 1990 when she worked as Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Council on the work area women and development . Churcher was Mayor (Municipal Chief Executive) of Cape Coast Since 1996 Churcher was member of the Ghanaian Parliament for the Cape Coast as a candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In October 2006, there was increased resignation rumors with regard to their seats, which as been reported Churcher, she had made her tenure as Minister among others some service vehicles retained [2] .Churcher was in the two terms of President John Kufuor as a Minister. Between 2001 and 2005 she was Minister for primary and secondary school education and education of girls and between 2005 and 2006 Minister of Science and Environmental Protection.[2] On 27 April 2006 Churcher of dismissed from office by John Kufuor.
