Weber was named the ECHL's Coach of Year, winning the John Brophy Award for the 2007–08 season while serving as head coach of the Cincinnati Cyclones.[2] On 1 December 2014 he was named as Head Coach of Coventry Blaze in the Elite Ice Hockey League in Great Britain.

While at Coventry he took the Blaze from 9th Place to 6th place and qualification for the end of season Playoffs. In the playoffs he led the Blaze to a 5-4 aggregate victory over rivals the Nottingham Panthers in the quarterfinals to book the Blaze a place in the EIHL final four weekend.

In the Semi Finals the Blaze beat the Belfast Giants 3-2 after Penalty Shots to set up a playoff final vs the recently crowned EIHL Regular season champions Sheffield Steelers. In the final Blaze won 4-2, in the process Blaze became the lowest seeds to ever win the EIHL Playoffs.

On 29 April it was announced that Chuck Weber would return to Coventry for the 2015-16 EIHL season and IIHF Continental Cup campaign
