Circle research

Overview

Circle Research is a B2B market research company based in London. Marketing Week[1] has identified them as one of the UK’s 50 largest research agencies and they were named 'Best Market Research Agency' in the 2012 RAR Awards.[2]

History and notable developments

The company was founded in 2006 by Andrew Dalglish, Beth Pearson and Victoria Tiller, all former employees of WPP.[3] Dalglish and Pearson now act as joint Managing Directors. In 2007 David Willan, co-founder of the UK’s largest B2B research agency BPRI (now part of Millward Brown), was appointed Chairman and has remained in this post since.[4] In 2013 the company became an affiliate member of the BBN Network.[5]

Not-for-profit work

Alongside commercial work for clients like Farnell element14, Ericsson and Randstad,[6] Circle Research has published a number not-for-profit and public benefit studies. These include ‘People or Profits’[7] (a report on business volunteering in association with charity partners Heart of the City and Involve), ‘The B2B Barometer’[8] (a study of trends in B2B marketing in association with the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing and the Business Marketing Collective) and ‘SMEs and Competitiveness in the Digital Age’[9] (a study of how small businesses are using technology for the EU40 group of MEPs, supported by Vodafone)
