Clark Smith (born April 17, 1995) is an American swimmer who specializes in freestyle and butterfly. He placed 6th in the 200m freestyle at the 2016 Olympic Trials.[3] He was a member of the 2015 University of Texas team that won the NCAA Division I Championship, winning the 500 yd free.[4] He currently owns the American record in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 8:33.93.[5] On December 3, 2015, he became the 3rd fastest performer in history in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:08.82.[6]
