Communist Party of Nicaragua (in Spanish: Partido Comunista de Nicaragua, abbreviated PCdeN) is a communist political party in Nicaragua. Founded as the Partido Obrero Socialista (Socialist Workers Party) in 1967. The founding core of POS were Juan Lorio, Augusto Lorío, Elí Altamirano (who became General Secretary of the PCdeN) and Manuel Pérez Estrada, who all had been expelled from the Nicaraguan Socialist Party on 23 April 1967.

In 1970, POS changed its name to PCdeN.

In 1990, it joined hands with the right-wing National Opposition Union to topple the Sandinista government.
