The Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) is located in Barangay Doroluman, Arakan, Cotabato. CFCST is commonly known as Foundation College being born from the orphanage school, the then Children’s Educational Foundation Village (CEFV).

True to the legacy of its founder, Bai Hadja Fatima Matabay Plang, CFCST serves the provinces of Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Bukidnon and other nearby places in Mindanao converging the diversity of the “poorest of the poor” students in its campuses. Ethnicity of the students comprises the tri-people of Mindanao such as the Muslims, Christians and Indigenous Peoples.

General Mandate

The Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) provides higher technological, professional, vocational and industrial apprenticeship in the fields of science, agriculture, and industry. It also promotes research, advanced studies and progressive leadership in its areas of specialization

The new-fangled Vision, Mission and Goals of the CFCST is a result of the collaborative efforts and ideas of the CFCST Key Officials. It has been studied thoroughly and carefully reviewed by the CFCST Key Officials and favorably endorsed to the CFCST Governing Board by the Administrative and Academic Councils. Thus, during the Special Meeting of the CFCST Board of Trustees held at the Crown Regency Hotel, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on July 6, 2013 at 1:00 P.M., the Board duly approved the new Vision, Mission and Goal (as stated below) of the CFCST

VISION CFCST: Haven of Intellectuals in 2023. MISSION CFCST shall endeavor to be a potent vehicle in uplifting the socio- economic status of its clientele and its neighboring communities through the provision of custodial care services, access to quality education and relevant training in science and technology. GOALS In the attainment of the vision, CFCST shall: 1. Provide holistic care to the economically disadvantaged children who are victims of man-made and natural calamities; 2. Produce technically equipped and competitive graduates to match the industry needs of the country; 3. Offer career, scientific, and other professional programs for professional growth of the region ; and 4. Develop, disseminate and commercialize viable technologies to the neighboring clienteles and communities.
