Countess Cecilie of Goëss-Saurau (German: Gräfin Cäcilie von Goeß-Saurau; born 23 August 1956) is the wife of Wittekind, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, current head of the Princely House of Waldeck and Pyrmont.

Early life

Cecilia was born at Frohnleiten, Austria, the fifth child and second daughter of Count Carl-Anton of Goëss-Saurau (born 1921), and his wife, Baroness Maria Mathilde Mayr of Melnhof (1921–1996).

Marriage

Cecilie married on 19 May 1988 in Frohnleiten, to Wittekind, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (b. 1936), fourth child and only son of Josias, Hereditary Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (son Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont and Princess Bathildis of Schaumburg-Lippe) and his wife, Duchess Altburg of Oldenburg (youngest daughter of Frederick Augustus II, Grand Duke of Oldenburg and Duchess Elisabeth Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin).

They have three sons.
