Christopher Torres[1] (born March 19, 1985), known by as CRAZYCHRISFILMS, is an American videographer and photographer from Huntington Park, California. He is known for his guerrilla-style filming and capturing candid moments.

Early life

Christopher Torres was born in East Los Angeles, the son of Mexican parents Estela Cortez and Manuel Torres.[1] He began his interest in film at a young age, when his brother and he wanted to document their skating. They often used alleys as backdrops for their skating videos.[2] His curiosity continued into adolescence. While working at a local skate shop at the tender age of 15, Crazychrisfilms was often commissioned to videotape and edit skate footage.

Crazychrisfilms went to East Los Angeles, California where his interest in cameras and filming surpassed his interest for school. Soon after he dropped out of community college but not before spending some his financial aid to pay for camera equipment. According to his brother, in early 2007 he was shown a club video where his response was “I can do better”. He started making promotional videos for local clubs. His hobby slowly became a career.

In 2011 Crazychrisfilme began working and touring with artists. He documented many of Tyga concerts, behind the scenes, and low budget music videos. Crazychrisfilms produced online episodes featuring Tyga fans and tour life.[5]

In 2012 he filmed and edited Iggy Azalea video "Hello" [6] Crazychrifilms continued to find work in the music industry. He made videos for local Los Angeles Power 106 KPWR DJ P-Jay where his documenting style grew exceptionally.[7]

By 2013, Crazychrisfilms was on world tours with Electronic Dance Music DJ Steve Aoki documenting his life [8]
