History

The company was 1968 Founded by Don Curtis as a Cable TV provider and started WCSL in Cherryville, NC and it is the largest privately held broadcast company in North Carolina. CMG claims that WQDR is the highest-billing radio station in the state. Don Curtis has also formed a company with eastern North Carolina broadcaster Henry Hinton called "Inner Banks Broadcasting".The company purchased WMFR and talk simulcasts WSJS and WSML in 2006 from CBS Radio.
