Cultural implications
Dagger Kiss has been called "a lesbian Lord of the Rings."[6] Dagger Kiss is a feminist, female, LGBT take on standard fantasy-adventure tales that usually center on heterosexual, cis-gendered, white men.[5] It is the first time a fantasy series, TV show or movie has had two lead female characters who are explicitly lovers.[6]
