Dell (landform)
In physical geography, a dell is a small secluded hollow, (implying also) a grassy, park like usually partially wooded valley.[1][2] Like "dale", the word "dell" is derived from the Old English word dæl.[2] Dells in literature are often portrayed as pleasant safe havens.
