Denise Sheehan

Denise Sheehan is an experienced manager with more than 20 years of experience in government and the non-profit sectors. She has most recently worked for The Climate Registry, a North American non-profit membership organization which helps business prepare for new carbon-related laws and regulations and manage their risk.

She has previously served as Director of Planning and Economic Development for Colonie, New York, a position she was appointed to in February 2007, and as New York state Commissioner of Environmental Conservation in the Cabinet of New York Governor George Pataki from 2005-2007. She worked in various senior management positions at NYS DEC from 1998-2005. She also worked for the NYS Division of the Budget for more than ten years.

Education

Denise holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the State University of New York. She is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Award in Public Administration and Policy from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
