Depressaria badiella is a moth of the Depressariidae family. It is found in most of Europe, Libya, the Caucasus and Mongolia.[2]

The wingspan is 20–25 mm. Adults are on wing from July to October[3] in one generation per year.

The larvae feed on Hypochaeris radicata, Sonchus arvensis and Taraxacum species. They initially feed between spun leaves, but later amongst the roots of their host plant. Larvae can be found from May to July.[4]
