Disney Junior is a television channel for preschoolers in Poland. It was launched on December 3, 2006 under the name "Playhouse Disney" as a block on Disney Channel. On September 1, 2010, Playhouse Disney was launched as a channel[2] and on June 1, 2011 was rebranded as Disney Junior.[3]
The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day and the block from 6:00 till 8:00 on weekdays and from 6:00 till 7:30 on weekends. (A.M., UTC+1)
Earlier, in Poland there was another channel for preschoolers - Jetix Play. It was launched on November 1, 2003 as Fox Kids Play. On January 1, 2005 Fox Kids Play was renamed to Jetix Play. The channel was closed on July 31, 2010 for new channel – Playhouse Disney which was launched on September 1, 2010.
