La Yarada-Los Palos District
The district of La Yarada Los Palos is one of the 11 districts that conform the province of Tacna in the department homónimo, under the administration of the regional Government of Tacna south of the Peru.
General description
On 7 November 2015, the President of the Peru creation the law No. 30358, law of creation of the district of La Yarada Los Palos in the province of Tacna of the department of Tacna. The territorial limits of the district of La Yarada Los Palos, in the province of Tacna of the department of Tacna, are the following: by the northwest limits with the district of Tacna, the limit initiates in the seaboard, in a point of coordinate UTM 333 220 m And and 7 985 129 m N; by the noreste limits with the district of Tacna, by the east limits with the district of Tacna, by the south limits with the Republic of Chile, by the line of border, until his intersection with the Pacific Ocean in the point Concord, point of start of the terrestrial border, of compliance with the established in virtue of the Treaty of Lima and his Complementary Protocol, between the Peru and Chile, of date 3 June 1929, and the works of the Mixed Commission of Limits of 1929 and 1930; and by the west, splitting from the point Concord, point of start of the terrestrial border with the Republic of Chile, limits with the Pacific Ocean, following the line of low tide until a point of coordinate UTM 333 220 m And and 7985. 129 m N, point of start of the present description. All this, equally, with respect to the maritime limit with Chile, defined by the failure of the International Court of Justice of 27 January 2014 and to the determinate coordinates in virtue of the works made by technicians of both countries, that are recorded in the Record signed in Lima, on 25 March 2014.[1]
Geography
The coast of the district of La Yarada Los Palos bordering with Chile presents a relief of pending drop, to this zone knows him like Pampa of the Yarada where predominate the arid pampas and the hills of low height, being almost non-existent the rains. The pampa of the Yarada is a zone of crops extensivos.
Climate
In this zone the climate is humid in winter, when they abound the mists or camanchacas and semicálido the rest of the year. His temperatures average are 24,6ºC (76,28ºF) in February and the minimum 13,6ºC in (55,4ºF) in July.[2]
Economy
The district of La Yarada Los Palos is the first producer of olives in the country and concentrates more than 43% of the agricultural production of the region Tacna.
