Dominican Wings is a start-up airline based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, created in 2015. A subsidiary of Lithuanian wet-lease specialist, Avion Express in Vilnius.[1] The airline operates latest generation Airbus aircraft, and serves the Charter and ACMI market in the region. Currently, operate an Airbus 320 aircraft, and we will be adding a second aircraft of the same type by 2017, and five aircraft by 2020.
One of our major shareholders is an European airline, Avion Express, which operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320. The airline is fully certified for international operations by the Dominican Civil Aviation Authority (IDAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), The Civil Aviation Board, and Transport Canada.
Dominican Wings received its AOC from the Dominican Republic's civil aviation authority in late 2014 and plans to offer charter flights between the Dominican Republic to Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago and Argentina for and on behalf of tour operators.[2] Its first aircraft, an Airbus A320, was delivered on 3 May 2015.[3]
