Dominique Estrosi Sassone

Dominique Estrosi Sassone (born November 14, 1958) is a French politician. She represents the department of Alpes-Maritimes in the French Senate as a member of The Republicans.[1]

She is the daughter of Jean Sassone, who served as deputy mayor of Nice from 1977 to 1995, and received a master's degree in law from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. Estrosi Sassone served in the territorial civil service before being elected deputy mayor of Nice in 2001. In 2004, she was elected to the regional council for Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.[2] Estrosi Sassone was elected to the Senate on September 28, 2014.[1] She also serves as a member of the council for the Metropolis Nice Côte d'Azur.[2]

She was married to Christian Estrosi, who was at one time mayor of Nice; the couple had two daughters but have since divorced.[3][2]
