Dorrien Gardens (also known by its sponsored name, BGC Stadium) is an association football ground in West Perth, Western Australia. It is the home ground of Perth SC.
History
The Dorrien Gardens Reserve was developed in the 1970s when the local council resumed land from a series of properties on Cowle Street.[1]
In 1987 Perth SC, then known as Perth Italia, moved to the ground.[2]
Perth Glory matches
Perth Glory have played occasional preseason matches the at the ground, including for the recent 2015 Call to Arms Cup match against the WA state team. Perth Glory played their 2015 FFA Cup quarter final against Western Sydney Wanderers at the venue on 29 September, prevailing 4–2 on penalties after a 1–1 normal time draw, in front of a crowd of 3003 people.[3]
In 2016, they played an FFA Cup match against Sydney FC, going down 0-2 in extra time, in front of a crowd in excess of 2,500.Match report
Perth Glory Women matches
The venue will be the home ground of the Perth Glory Women for the 2016–17 W-League season. [4]
