Dover Street Market

Dover Street Market is a multilevel fashion retail store with a market and art gallery spirit.

It was created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label COMME des GARÇONS and her husband Adrian Joffe.

The store was first located on Dover Street, in Mayfair, London.

Since March 19, 2016, the store has moved to Haymarket (South Piccadilly). 18-22 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4DG.

Locations

Dover Street Market has branches London (first one), in Tokyo (Dover Street Market Ginza) opened in 2006, in New York (Dover Street Market New York) opened in 2013 and a franchise in Beijing (I.T. Beijing Market).

Rose Bakery

The London, Ginza and New York stores all have a Rose Bakery café.

Rose Bakery was created by Rose Carrarini and her husband Jean Charles.

History

Dover Street Market is located in the former Burberry building erected in 1912 by Thomas Burberry.

The Former Dover Street Market building (17-18 Dover Street) became the home of the newly founded Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in May 1950. The ICA has now relocated to its current space at The Mall in 1968.
