Dragan Vulin

Dragan Vulin (born 1986)[1] is a Croatian politician and scientist. He has been President of Croatian Democratic Alliance of Slavonia and Baranja since 2014. He won an election as a Deputy Prefect of Osijek-Baranja County in June 2013 from the prefectural election list of Vladimir Šišljagić.

Early life and education

Vulin was born in 1986 in Osijek, Croatia. In 2005, he finished secondary school (Electrical Engineering) in Osijek. He obtained his first (bachelor’s) degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek in 2008. In 2010, he earned a master's degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek in power engineering. He won the University of Osijek's Rector's Award as well as the Croatian Energy Association's Hrvoje Polar award.

Career

Vulin was employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering. He is a postgraduate doctoral student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and has authored several scientific papers.[2][3][4] in the field of renewable energy sources and power electronics, and a member of the Professional project committee at the IPA Hungary-Croatia Cross-Border Co-operation Programme project "Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development - REG-PHOSYS".

In 2009, he was elected as a Vice Mayor of Erdut Municipality to represent Croatian people and he continued that duty voluntary until 2013.
