Duster is an album by vibraphonist Gary Burton recorded in 1967 and released on the RCA label.^[1]

Duster is often considered to be one of the first jazz fusion albums.^[2] Although it received mixed responses from critics, it peaked at number 15 on Billboards Top Jazz Albums.^[3]

Reception

The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4½ stars calling it "one of the first fusion records" and stating "Although Burton's basic sound had not changed during from the previous year, his openness toward other styles made his Quartet one of the most significant jazz groups of the period".^[4]
