The EUROPEAN International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) is an international day school from Early Years to Grade 12 (Diploma programme) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The school offers programmes for students aged 2 to 18. EIS’ student body is diverse with students coming from more than 25 different countries. It is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.
Campus
The EUROPEAN International School is located in Thao Dien, District 2. EIS occupies 12 villas with separate buildings for different functions. Classrooms and special-purpose rooms are equipped with technology and all Primary classrooms have interactive smart boards.[1] EIS's campus additionally consists of:
- an outdoor pool,
- an astroturf sports ground,
- a basketball court,
- a pre-primary outdoor adventure playground,
- special rooms (art room, music room, science lab, computer lab, design tech workshop),
- a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre (Library)
Education
The EUROPEAN International School Ho Chi Minh City follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and is an officially authorised IB World School[2] with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) being the first of the school’s programmes to have been authorised. EIS is one of only two schools in Vietnam to offer the whole IB continuum from Kindergarten to Grade 12: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (DP).
Language of instruction
English is the language of instruction[3] throughout the school. Additional languages are offered for students in all grades from toddler to Grade 12.

Educationsuisse is an organization supporting international schools and promoting the cultural and economic presence of Switzerland abroad and facilitating the access to schools, universities and professional training in Switzerland.[5] The association provides support for Swiss teachers working in international schools and the federal government of Switzerland provides financial support to its associated schools.
