Eagle Ridge Middle School is a public middle school in Ashburn, Virginia, a census designated place in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The school is part of Loudoun County Public Schools and is located at 42901 Waxpool Road, Ashburn, VA.

History

Eagle Ridge opened in 2001 to alleviate crowding at Harper Park Middle School in Leesburg, which was re-designated to be the feeder middle school from Stone Bridge High School to the then-future Heritage High School in Leesburg. Eagle Ridge then served as the feeder middle school to Stone Bridge until Belmont Ridge Middle School of Leesburg opened in 2003 as its feeder middle school. Eagle Ridge was then designated to feed into Briar Woods High School, which opened in 2005. In the 2007-2008 school year the boundaries changed again. Students living in the southern half of the zone now attended Stone Hill and Eagle Ridge in turn took students from both Belmont Ridge and Farmwell Station Middle Schools, making Eagle Ridge feed three high schools, Briar Woods, Broad Run, and Stone Bridge. In the 2014-2015 school year the boundaries changed yet again when Trailside Middle School opened and became the new (and current) feeder middle school for Stone Bridge, making Eagle Ridge now only feed to Briar Woods.
