The East Sussex Football League is an English football competition located in East Sussex and south-west Kent. The league has a total of 6 divisions, headed by the Premier Division, which sits at level 12 of the national league system.

Current structure

The most senior division in the league is the Premier Division, the top two teams of this division can apply to enter into Division Two of the Southern Combination League formerly the Sussex County League, subject to ground grading. The most recent team to successfully apply are Langney Wanderers, other successful applicants include Little Common, Westfield, Seaford Town and Wadhurst United.

The league does accommodate reserve and third teams from clubs in higher leagues, currently third teams from Battle Baptists, Little Common, St. Leonards Social, Sedlescombe Rangers and Westfield are entered into the league. There are currently no reserve teams from higher league clubs, though in previous seasons Little Common and Rye & Iden United had entered reserve teams into the league, the most recent being from Langney Wanderers.

The vast majority of clubs in the league are based in East Sussex, however teams from Kent are allowed and are normally based in locations close to the Sussex-Kent border.
