ecobee is a home automation company that makes thermostats for residential and commercial use.[1] They are controlled using a companion app available for iOS, Android and the Apple Watch.[2]

Products

The ecobee3 is ecobee's flagship product. It is a touchscreen thermostat that works with up to 32 remote temperature and motion sensors so it can adjust the thermostat based on where you are.[3][4] It also has IFTTT integration.[5][6] An updated version of the ecobee3 was released in 2015 that works with Apple HomeKit.[7][8] In October 2016, pre-orders began for the ecobee3 lite.[9] The thermostat resembles the ecobee3, but does not work with remote temperature and motion sensors.[10]

History

Ecobee was founded in 2007.[11] It has been recognized with a number of awards, including the Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award for Canadian green technology companies,[12] and the 2011 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the category of building automation.[13]
