Economic and Financial Committee (United Nations)

The Economic and Finance Committee is a committee within the United Nations that solves problems in the area of global finances and economics. It is one of the six standing committees of the General Assembly, and also referred to as the "Second Committee".
Current State
The ECOFIN was recently conducted in Guyana on the October 1st, 2012. This was its 66th session and it aimed to promote the interests of Least Developed Countries and Landlocked developing countries of the world. The macro economic policies of nations were also reviewed at this session.
