The elegant pitta (Pitta elegans) is a species of bird in the Pittidae family. It is endemic to the Lesser Sunda Islands in Indonesia and Timor L'Este. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
The subspecies P. e. vigorsii is sometimes considered to be a full species.
