Elganowo [ɛlɡaˈnɔvɔ] (German: Gilgenau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pasym, within Szczytno County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Pasym, 14 km (9 mi) north-west of Szczytno, and 28 km (17 mi) south-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). In the East Prussian plebiscite of 1920, which was largely boycotted by ethnic Poles, the inhabitants voted to remain in Germany.[2] After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement under territorial changes demanded by the Soviet Union. Most Germans fled or were expelled and replaced with Poles expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union or Ukranians forced to settle in the area through Operation Vistula in 1947.

The village has a population of 170.
