Emma Burstall is an English author and journalist. She has published two novels and writes for The Guardian and Independent on Sunday.[1]
Burstall was educated at the St Paul's Girls' School and studied English at Christ's College, Cambridge University, graduating in 1980.[2][3] She began her career as a reporter on the Western Morning News,[2] later becoming a features editor of Woman and Family Circle.[4] Her first novel Gym and Slimline was published in 2008,[5] followed by Never Close Your Eyes in 2009.[1]
Burstall is married to left-wing journalist Kevin Maguire, and has three children: the elder was educated at Tiffin School, an exclusive all-girls grammar school in Kingston upon Thames.[5]
