European Media Management Association

The European Media Management Association (emma) is an international not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 2003 in response to the dramatic growth in media management courses and programmes at higher education institutions throughout Europe. Until 2014, the name of the organisation was European Media Management Education Association. It has some 150 members for 20 European universities.[1] Its main activities are an annual conference and a biannual doctoral summer school. Its flagship journal is the Journal of Media Business Studies.

The current president is Ulrike Rohn from Tallinn University in Estonia (Baltic Film and Media School). The next conference will be held in Ghent, Belgium, from May 10-13, 2017. It will be co-organized by Ghent University and Vrije University Brussels.
