ExtraTorrent (commonly abbreviated ET) is an online index of digital content of entertainment media and software, where visitors can search, download and contribute magnet links and torrent files, which facilitate peer-to-peer file sharing among users of the BitTorrent protocol.
As of November 2016 ExtraTorrent was the world's second largest torrent site, after The Pirate Bay.[2] In November they also lost three of their domains used for mirrors, quickly replacing them with newer ones.[2][3] It was unclear if legal action had been taken or the "hijacking" was performed through some alternative method.[2][3]
