Not to be confused with FPT Industries, an American aerospace engineering company.

FPT (FPT:VN) is a multinational information technology company of Vietnam with branches in 19 countries. It is one of Vietnam's leading conglomerates,[1] based in Hà Nội and has branches in Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang. FPT affiliate companies are active in software outsourcing, telecommunications, property, education and financial services.[2][3]

FPT ranked first in the private companies section of the 2008 VNR500 list of leading Vietnam companies;[4] the list is compiled on the basis of revenue, growth and other economic factors.

The Vietnam National Technology Research Institute founded the Food Processing Technology Company (original full name of FPT) on 13 September 1988. In 1990 it switched its core business to information technology and changed its unabbreviated name to Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology.[5]
