Fahmida Khatun (economist)

Fahmida Khatun is a Bangladeshi economist. She is the current Research Director at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD).[1] She was a director of Janata Bank, the second largest commercial bank in Bangladesh, during 2008–11.[2]

Education

Khatun completed her master's and Ph.D. in economics from the University College London.[1]

Career

Khatun worked as a research fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, an environment specialist for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and an economist for the USAID Mission in Bangladesh. She was a faculty member at universities in Bangladesh and England.[1]

In 2007, Khatun released a music album, titled Jokhon Prothom Dhoreche Koli, comprising Rabindra Sangeet songs.[3]
