Faisal Abdulrahman Ahmed (born Vasil Vanev (Bulgarian: Васил Ванев); born 13 January 1972) is a Qatari male weightlifter, competing in the 69 kg category and representing Qatar at international competitions. He competed at world championships, most recently at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships.[1]

One of eight Bulgarian weightlifters recruited by the Qatar Olympic Committee.[2][3] He also represented Bulgaria at international competitions. He won the bronze medal in the clean & jerk at the 1990 World Weightlifting Championships lifting 187.5 kg and a bronze medal in the snatch at the 1993 World Weightlifting Championships in the 70 kg category.[4]
