The Families Commission is a New Zealand crown entity, established by the Families Commission Act 2003. It has operated under the name Superu (Social Policy Research and Evaluation Unit) since December 2014. Its purpose is to increase the use of evidence by people across the New Zealand social sector so that they can make better decisions - about funding, policies and services - to improve the lives of New Zealanders. Superu also manages the Hub, a website of social science research published by the New Zealand government.
