Fish medicine
Fish medicine is the study and treatment of the diseases of fish. Although some practitioners work primarily with aquarium fish, this field also has important applications to fisheries management.
Fish medicine remains a largely embryonic field, but is developing rapidly in some areas. American institutions offering courses in fish medicine include the University of Florida. In March 2006, South Korea began offering a licensing examination for fish disease professionals, or "fish doctors."
