Fissidens adianthoides, the maidenhair pocketmoss,^[1] is a moss in the family Fissidentaceae and class Bryopsida.

The Nitinaht Indians of Vancouver Island used maidenhair moss to bandage wounds. It was so named by Anglo-Saxons because of its resemblance to pubic hair.
