The company provides enterprise class Nutrition Insight solutions to restaurants, food manufacturers, corporate and school cafeterias, senior living communities and Registered Dietitians. The business is now headquartered at the Nucleus Research Innovation Park in downtown Louisville, the nation's leading center for age-related healthcare research and innovation, and the company has an additional office in Redwood City, California.
History
The concept of FoodCare was developed by founder Ken Marshall after evaluating dozens of technology companies and market trends in the healthcare, foodservice and consumer mobile technology industries. The FoodCare team recognized there were significant gaps in patient care and there were limited solutions designed to address fundamental nutrition transformation of individuals, families and communities. At the individual level, Marshall developed a concept for delivering personalized nutrition guidance to individuals as they dined in restaurants, shopped for frozen meals or prepared recipes.
