Food and Beverage Association of America
The Food and Beverage Association of America is a not for profit, philanthropic, trade organization for executives of the food and beverage industries of the New York metropolitan area.[1]
History
It was established in 1956 and in 1957 six New York hotel banquet managers and food and beverage managers met, Keith Glenn, Herman Nerz, Oscar Gabler, Joseph Sanady, Charles Frowenfeld and Bernie Heffler exchanging information that might be helpful to each.[1][2]

The Food and Beverage Association of America is a nonprofit, tax-exempt, philanthropic, educational and social trade organization. Its membership encompasses executives in the food and beverage and allied industries of the greater New York Metropolitan area. Established in 1956, the Association, formerly Food and Beverage Managers (FBMA), have responded to the continued need for improved standards and communications within the food and beverage community through the open dialogue shared in monthly forums.

In 1957 six New York Hotel men,Banquet Managers and Food and Beverage managers-Keith Glenn,Herman Nerz, Oscar Gabler,Joseph Sanady, Charles Frowenfeld and Bernie Heffler-dedicated to from the food and beverage managers association of America, meeting monthly for dinner and exchanging information that might be helpful to each. They were immediately joined by Jerry Parker, Jerry Horvath and Ivan Brent among others and after 2 years membership was up to 30.
