Frederick John "Fred" Smallbone (born 22 January 1948) is a British rower who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.
In 1972 he was a crew member of the British boat which finished seventh in the coxless four event.
Four years later he won the silver medal with the British boat in the eights competition.
