Number: 718 Type: Dragon/Ground Does not evolve

Zygarde (ジガルデ Jigarude) is the Order Pokémon, spending its life unmoving within the dark Terminus Cave unless the ecological balance of Kalos is threatened. Its special ability Aura Break reverses the powers of both Xerneas's Fairy Aura and Yveltal's Dark Aura, weakening Fairy- and Dark-type moves, and its signature attack Land's Wrath can damage multiple opponents at once.[151][157] Hackers have found new moves called Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves that are likely related to Zygarde, in a similar manner to Kyurem's Freeze Shock and Ice Burn, which were originally in Black and White's code but inaccessible until the sequels. In the October issue of CoroCoro it was revealed that Zygarde in Terminus Cave is actually a 50% Forme created by one of two Zygarde Cores absorbing a large amount Zygarde Cells, with the canine 10% Forme a weaker version. When the two Zygarde Cores are together, they absorb all Zygarde Cells to form Zygarde's Complete Forme.

In 2016, it was revealed that the moves Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves, as well as Zygarde 10% Forme and Complete Forme, would be featured in the 7th generation games, Pokémon Sun and Moon

In the Pokémon XYZ anime, Zygarde serves as a plot device as Team Flare attempts to recapture the Zygarde Core they designated Z-1, which is currently traveling with Ash's group after being named Squishy, while hunting down Zygarde 50% Forme (designated Z-2). After some, time Team flare managed to capture Z-2 and eventually unleashed him in the center of Lumiose City, the capital of the Kalos region. The team's leader Lysandre vows to destroy the current world and restart it, so people and Pokemon can live in harmony. But Ash's group did not accept this plan and ultimately managed to destroy team Flare's mind controlling device, which caused Lysandre to fake his own suicide, but soon after reappearing to take control of megalith Zygarde, A massive rock structure which resembles Zygarde 50% form, but is many times larger. It was created when a Chespin was held to near a massive Megalith crystal, which the Chespin had absorbed a large amount of Zygarde energy in an earlier lab accident. But most characters from the XY and XYZ anime reunited, resulting in team Flare's total defeat and Lysandre's death.

Diancie

Number: 719 Type: Rock/Fairy Does not evolve

Diancie (ディアンシー Dianshī) is the Jewel Pokémon, and it is able to create diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands.[158] In the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, Diancie possesses a Mega Evolution.

It appeared as a female in the film Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction where she is the princess of the Diamond Domain and she needs Ash and his friends' help to find Xerneas to give her the power to create a Heart Diamond that powers the Diamond Domain. Diancie was also thought to evolve from Carbink. While Diancie does originate from Carbink, it is not through evolution, rather mutation.[159][160]

Hoopa

Number: 720 Type: Psychic/Ghost Does not evolve

Hoopa (フーパ Fūpa) is the Mischief Pokémon, possessing rings that it uses to bend dimensions and travel across great distances. Using the Prison Bottle will transform it into its alternate appearance. Hoopa's alternate appearance is called "Hoopa Unbound", which becomes Psychic/Dark type.[161] It was announced on January 15, 2015.[162]

Hoopa featured in the 2015 Pokémon anime movie, The Great Djinni of the Rings: Hoopa (光輪(リング)の超魔神 フーパ Ringu no Chōmajin Fūpa), which was released in theaters in Japan and America on July 18, 2015 under the title Hoopa and the Clash of Ages.[163]

Volcanion

Number: 721 Type: Fire/Water Does not evolve

Volcanion (ボルケニオン Borukenion) is the Steam Pokémon. It has the ability to expel super-hot steam through its "cannons" on its back. The pressure from the steam can blow away mountains.[164] Volcanion was officially revealed on December 12, 2015 in the CoroCoro issue.[165]
