Extracurricular activities are also offered in the form of performing arts, school publications, and clubs. The school colors are blue and white.

Administration

GEHS is currently under the administration of Principal Mark Meyer.

History

GEHS was built in 2000, where the high school and the District Activity Complex provide educational and athletic facilities for students in grades 9-12. In 2004, a ten-classroom addition expanded the high school's program capacity from 1,200 to 1,600 students.[2]

District Activities Complex, which is located adjacent to GEHS, made recent improvements that provided a competition soccer stadium and additional baseball and softball practice fields. A dedicated wrestling facility and an athletic multi-purpose building were added to GEHS in 2006.[2]

GEHS is the only high school in Gardner-Edgerton USD 231, which currently includes eleven schools: seven K-4 elementary schools, three grades 5-8 middle schools and the high school.[2]

Fight Song

Fight, fight, fight, we're gonna win tonight.
Blue and white, we're gonna win with might.
We're gonna win, win, win and that is why we sing
And shout our praises to the sky, High, High, High
Roll, roll, roll, we're gonna roll some more
Roll, roll, roll up the score.
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y
WE'RE GONNA WIN THIS GAME TONIGHT![3]

Alma Mater

Our strong band shall ne'er be broken.
Formed in G.E. High--
Far surpassing wealth unspoken
Sealed by friendship's tie.

We will ever sing thy praises
Loyal, Proud, and True
Hail we now our Alma mater
Hail the White and Blue.[4]
