George David Eric Hirst (born 15 February 1999) is a football player who plays as a Forward for Championship club Sheffield Wednesday. He is the son of former footballer David Hirst.

Club career

Hirst signed his first professional contract for Sheffield Wednesday in March 2016.[2]

In August 2016 he made his first team debut for the club, playing as a substitute as Wednesday lost to Cambridge United in the first round of the Football League Cup. [3]

International career

Hirst made his debut for the England U17 national team during the Algarve Cup in February 2016 - in his second game for the team he scored twice against Germany in a 2-2 draw. [4]

He was subsequently called up to the squad for their U17 Euros final tournament in Azerbaijan. [5]

On the 23 August 2016, Hirst was called up to the England U18's for the first time. [6]
