Georgie Smith
Georgie Smith is an English actress who lives in London.
Early life
Born at home in Abbey Wood, South East London, she grew up in the London Borough of Bexley.
Acting
Trained at Drama Centre London, noted for its training in the method, the work of Yat Malmgren and in-depth study of character analysis.
Previous training includes The Miskin Theatre in Dartford and City Lit in Covent Garden, London, where she appeared on the front cover of Covent Garden' Magazine (Issue 151).
She also trained extensively with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat and Film Fighting LA in Los Angeles.
Whilst at Drama Centre, she succeeded in being cast in several productions at the National Film and Television School, including the lead role as Liz in the NFTS production Between You and Me, directed by Maj-Britt LaCour.
Her first professional engagement was on Talkback Thames production, The Bill Episode 610, "Street Kid", directed by A.J. Quinn, playing Scarlet, a squatter caught harbouring a 12-year-old boy.
She appears in the film Wreckers, written and directed by Dictynna Hood, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Claire Foy and Shaun Evans. Wreckers premiered at The London Film Festival.
Georgie plays Juliet in the upcoming feature film First Born, directed by Nirpal Bhogal and starring Antonia Thomas and Luke Norris. The film had its premiere screening at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
Georgie is also a graduate of UCLA's screenwriters program.
