Gerak Khas is a long running Malaysian television series. The police drama first aired on 4 May 1999 on Radio Televisyen Malaysia's TV2.[1]

There are three films based from the series.

The first movie, released in early 2001, topped the Malaysian box office.[2]

Datuk Yusof Haslam directed both the series and the films for his Skop Productions. Cast members include Abby Abadi as Inspektor Aleeza and AC Mizal as Inspektor Mazlan. In the first film, they faced crime bosses Castelo (Rosyam Nor) and Rafayel (Norman Hakim, whom Abadi married in 2002; he returned to the franchise playing Inspektor Haris).[3]

In its storyline, Aleeza was jealous of Mazlan's relationship with Inspektor Shafikah (Erra Fazira).[4] However, in the sequel, Mazlan was jealous of Aleeza and new member Inspektor Zamri (Azri Iskandar), whom he also suspected of being corrupt.[5]

Gerak Khas TV Series characters

In 2004, two new characters were introduced to the series, Chief Inspektor Inspektor Geena (Angeline Tan) and Chief Inspektor Kumar (Kumaresan Chinnaya), while the program was switched to channel TV1.[6]

In 2008 until now, it then switched back to channel TV2 and few characters were introduced to the series, Inspektor Salina (Salina Saibi), Inspektor Asraf (Zulkifli Ariffin) and Inspektor Hisham (Shah Iskandar).
