Gharam wa intiqam is a 1944 Egyptian film.

This drama was a great success in its time, partially due to the unexpected death of its star in a car accident, the famous singer Asmahan, when she was only 26. Misr Studios didn’t even hesitate and used her death to attract more audience.

Synopsis

A famous singer decides to leave the stage for love, he’s killed the next day. She swears vengeance and enthrals the main suspect. The story of an almost impossible love with an unexpected ending.
