gkkworks is a multinational professional services firm headquartered in Irvine, California which provides architecture, interior design, planning, construction, construction management, program management, and design-build services for all aspects of the built environment.[3]<[4] Markets include K-12 and higher education, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, government, and critical facilities.[5] The firm has offices in California (Irvine, Pasadena, Riverside, and San Diego); Colorado (Denver); and India (Pune).[6]
History
gkkworks was founded in 1991 by Praful M. Kulkarni in Irvine, California. In 2006, gkkworks acquired architectural firm LHA of Glendale, California. The acquisition allowed gkkworks to diversify in the commercial and retail markets.[7][8] In 2007, gkkworks acquired Sacramento, California-based CCS Group, a firm specializing in master planning for community colleges.[9] In 2010, to expand work in the federal and mission critical facilities markets, gkkworks acquired Los Angeles-based design-build firm Syska Hennessy Group Construction.[10][11] To expand the firm’s geographic reach, gkkworks acquired Denver, Colorado-based architecture firm klipp, in 2012.[12]
