Gladys Taylor (nurse)
Dame Gladys Taylor DBE, RRC (1890 – 11 January 1950) was Matron-in-Chief, Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service (1943–48).
Trained at University College Hospital, London, Miss Taylor's name appeared in the King's Honours List as Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1948 upon her retirement from the Air Force Nursing Service.
She was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1949 New Year Honours.[1]
